No dough chilling in the fridge, no forming ball after ball after ball, no rolling out dough to precisely the right depth. Just spread the dough in a pan, throw it in the oven, and bake. Done.
I was looking through my grandmother's recipes and came across this recipe for her Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Bar Cookies. What a treasure! Her favorite cookies were peanut butter and mine have always been chocolate chip, so every time we made these we laughed that they were our compromise cookies.
Grandma's been gone for almost 15 years, but seeing her handwritten recipe and smelling these cookies make it seem like she's still here.
I made them extra nutty with @peanutbutterco Crunch Time peanut butter. Let me tell you, Grandma would've LOVED all the nuts in it. It's by far the crunchiest pb I've found!
