This delicious dessert takes summertime s’mores to the next level! I tried making this Hershey’s S’mores Skillet from the Hersheyland website, and it was like being in choco-heaven. This recipe is perfect for any time you want to celebrate, including the end of a long day!
Graham crackers, marshmallows, and pieces of Hershey’s chocolate meld together atop a skillet-sized cookie that will have you licking your fingers like a kid again. This dessert went (un)surprisingly quickly, even after a filling meal. It’s the perfect bit of sweet for the end of a summer night, or a winter evening when you’re dreaming of summer days to come!

What Is the Hershey’s S’mores Skillet?
Besides dessert heaven?
This skillet recipe takes s’mores to a new level. It’s part cookie, part campfire treat in a skillet that makes it easy to share. (Not that you’ll want to. Can you tell I’m obsessed?)
Cookie dough that is dotted with marshmallows and Hershey’s chocolate chips is pressed into a cast iron skillet to provide the all-important base for the gooey s’more toppings. I might try making traditional cookies out of this dough someday because it’s that good on its own. The cookie is baked, then topped with those yummy s’more toppings that we all love so much: graham crackers, marshmallows, and delicious Hershey’s chocolate.
After heating it in the oven again briefly, it’s ready in all it’s chocolately glory! Let it cool, but don’t wait too long. It’s absolutely delicious when the chocolate and marshmallows are still warm and squishy!
You can find the original recipe here in the Hersheyland website recipe box, along with tons of other mouthwateringly delicious ideas incorporating Hershey’s chocolate.
Is That a Square Cast Iron Skillet?
Yes!
This skillet is one of my favorite kitchen tools. I use it in place of my round cast iron skillet consistently. The square design fits in the oven, on the grill, and even on my stovetop more easily than the rounds, since there is no handle sticking out.
Let’s talk about that handle for a sec. If you’re as accident prone as I am, you probably have burned yourself on a cast iron handle before. Or maybe you’ve accidentally bumped the handle and sent your skillet flying. And how many times have you had trouble fitting other things in the oven or on the grill because that goofy handle sticks out so far?
This particular skillet was designed to eliminate all the drama that handles bring, because it features a DETATCHABLE handle. Whaaaa? Why hasn’t anyone thought of that before? I know, right?
A claw-like apparatus on the handle clamps around the side and bottom of the square skillet, allowing you to safely lift and move it without burning yourself. The cookware line takes its name from that handle, Talon Claw. Since I love this product so much and stand behind it 100%, my friends at Talon Claw are happy to give my followers 10% off by using the code WITHDUMPLINGS at checkout. - Sprinkle shredded sweetened coconut over the finished skillet for a layer of tropical flavor
